There is No Christmas Without CHRIST!

I went to Wal-Mart yesterday and was greated by the Salvation Army bell ringer with these words, "Happy Holidays", I smiled and sayed, "Merry Christmas", to that I got a big thank you! Why did I get a thank you, because Christ has been removed from Christmas, and that has many Christians very upset.

MERRY CHRISTMAS! Remember when you used to hear those two beautiful words every year at Christmas time? You won't be hearing those words this Christmas and if we all do nothing about it, we may never hear them again. Now it’s "Happy Holidays". Yes that’s right, no more "Merry Christmas", now the proper wording is "Happy Holidays". Wait just one darn minute... Why is it that we celebrate this "Holiday" anyway? Oh yeah, because a baby was born over two thousand years ago that was born to save every man, woman, and child on the face of this earth. Because of this baby’s birth people celebrated this special day, and named it "CHRISTmas" after that baby, who’s name is Jesus Christ!

Okay, I understand that many people do not believe in God, or Christ, so they don’t want to hear, "Merry Christmas", they want to hear, "Happy Holidays". Well to those people I have to ask, why are you even celebrating this holiday? If you are not a Christian, and do not believe that Christ lived and died for you, then why celebrate it at all? Christmas is a Christian Holiday, not an atheist holiday. Had Christ not been born in a stable on a cold winter’s night so long ago, there would not only not be Christmas now, there would also not be a Holiday right now! It would be just another day, in another week, in another month, and nothing more.

So, instead of getting irritated with us Christians for running around wishing you a "MERRY CHRISTMAS", try thanking the one responsible for Christmas to begin with. Without him not only would you not have Christmas, you also would not have life! And to all merchants who have instructed their employees not to say Merry Christmas to the customers, shame on you! It’s okay to use Christ birthday to make tons of money, but not okay to mention him to a customer? Shame on every single merchant out there who is doing this, and shame on the people who are offended by these words. I must say, I am very fed up with always hearing, "oh don’t mention God you will offend someone". Well hear this all you who are offended by the mention of my God... We Christians are offended too! We are offended that it’s okay to say Mohammed, Buddha, but it’s not okay to say God or Christ, unless you are saying it in curse words when you are mad, and we are offended that we cannot have the freedom of speech to Praise and Glorify our Holy God, especially at this time of year, Christmas time. I guess offending a Christian is no big deal, just make sure that the minority, (the atheist), are never offended by us.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
